FAQ

Q.Do I need an engineer?

A.Yes. A Stout Heart sound engineer will be present for all sessions to ensure that the equipment is set up properly for you and make sure that you have support when needed.

Q.How many people can the Studio fit?

A.The Studio is equipped for five voices to be recorded at once (plus, folks can Skype in).

Q.Do I need to bring anything?

A.The Studio should have all the recording equipment that you need. All that you’re responsible for is your notes, your own computer (if you even want to bring it), and supplying a jump drive if you’d like to take your files home with you.

Q.What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

A.Because our space is in demand, The Studio has a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you need to reschedule or cancel, please do so with at least 24 hours notice in order not to incur a charge.

Q.Can people remotely participate in recording sessions at the studio?

A.Of course! Guests can Skype in. If this is a service you’ll need, please let us know ahead of time so that we can get you the information you need to be prepared.

Q.What is an an intro/outro/bumper?

A.A podcast intro (also known as a podcast introduction, open, or opening) tells listeners the name of your show, what it’s about, the name of the host(s), and sets the tone for your podcast.

A podcast outro (sometimes referred to as a close or closing) is your last chance at the end of your show to tell listeners where they can learn more about you and your company, tell them where they can download previous shows, and invite them back for your next show.

A podcast bumper is a 15-second podcast transition in your show to introduce a special feature or to smoothly transition into and out of commercial breaks.
