Stout Heart Welcomes Briggs Buzzell to the Agency Team!

Stout Heart is thrilled to welcome Briggs Buzzell, our new Business Developer, to the team. Briggs’ self-proclaimed motto is, in the words of the one and only Beyonce, “I sneezed on the beat and the beat got sicker”. We look forward to finding out what that means for life at the agency…

So how did Briggs and Stout Heart meet? Briggs and I graduated from Leadership Seacoast together in 2015. After almost five years as the Membership Director for the Greater Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce (now known as the Chamber Collaborative of Greater Portsmouth), Briggs decided to travel, get her tonsils out (which she does not recommend doing at 30), and do some contracting work around New England. Apparently, Briggs couldn’t stand being separated from the Seacoast longer than that because before long she was back in the area and ready to join the Stout Heart team.

Briggs grew up in Stowe, Vermont so being outdoors isn’t a hobby, it’s a requirement, a way of life. No matter what the season may be, you can find her either at the beach or in the mountains. Oh, and you’ll never see Briggs solo. She is always accompanied by her furry side-kick, Ruecifer Huxtable, Rue for short. Don’t let the adorable name or those big eyes fool you, Rue is a voluptuous pug full of sass with a larger-than-life personality. She even has her own hashtag, #adventuresofrue so look for her on Instagram. Briggs stands by the fact that she didn’t choose the pug life, the pug life chose her.
